Nasal and Facial Aesthetics

Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Rhinoplasty is nose surgery that addresses the shape of the nose and, where needed, breathing function. It can be performed with an open or closed technique, and in suitable patients under local anaesthesia. The technique and type of anaesthesia are decided individually after examination.

Who is it for?

People who are unhappy with the shape of their nose, or who also have breathing problems, and who are found suitable for surgery after examination.

How does the process work?

  1. Your expectations are discussed and the nose is examined inside and out.

  2. A nasal analysis is made using photographs; the technique and anaesthesia are discussed.

  3. Follow-up examinations are planned after the operation.

Duration and recovery

The length of the procedure and the recovery period vary from person to person. This is discussed with you during your examination.

The information on this page is for general guidance only. Decisions on diagnosis and treatment are made only after an examination.

Rhinoplasty under Local Anesthesia without Nasal Packing

In this approach, rhinoplasty is performed with the nasal area numbed by local anesthesia. "Without nasal packing" means that no packing is placed inside the nose at the end of the operation. Whether the approach is suitable is decided during examination, based on the structure of the nose and the planned procedure.

  • Photographic and Computer-Assisted Nasal Analysis

Before rhinoplasty, the nose and face are assessed on a computer using photographs taken from different angles. This helps in discussing expectations and planning the operation; it is not a definitive picture of the surgical result.

  • Otoplasty (Prominent Ears)

Otoplasty is an operation to adjust the shape and position of ears that stand out prominently. Suitability and method are assessed during examination.
